Our purpose is to create pathways for a life free from violence and fear. We are looking for individuals with proven leadership experience, particularly in crisis response or victim support program, whose practice values embody our organisational values: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Empowerment.  Your role:As an experienced Senior Practitioner, your key responsibility is to provide effective leadership oversight during the afternoon/evening and weekend space. You are expected to deliver proactive team support and guidance to ensure day-to-day operation consistency. With the support from the Team Leaders and Service Delivery Manager, you are to contribute and foster a positive and collaborative team environment through the vision and values of DVConnect.Being a 24/7 crisis response service, you will ensure that client documentation, records, reporting and data collection is actioned timely and accurately by you and the staff on shift. It is expected that you take appropriate actions to maintain client safety based on intake and risk assessments. At times, you will be required to answer inbound Mensline calls when needed.  What's in it for you?Above SCHADS Award remuneration. Salary package up to $15,990 per financial year.Regular staff wellness activities. Professional career opportunities.Family friendly and inclusive team environment. What you will need for your new role (selection criteria); Proven experience in at least one (1) of the following areas: Domestic, family and intimate Partner Violence, sexual violence and abuse, child protection and/or residential support, specialist trauma counselling or mental health sector.Completed tertiary qualification(s) in Social and Behavioural Sciences or other appropriate field(s).Well-developed knowledge and analysis of the effects, causes and dynamics of domestic and family violence.Knowledge of Queensland Domestic Violence Legislations, particularly the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012.Highly developed telephone counselling and risk assessment skills, preferably in domestic violence and/or crisis work.Capacity to work and support staff in a complex and often demanding work environment, whilst remaining calm.Exceptional and effective interpersonal, communication, and engagement/consultation skills.Commitment to social justice, DVConnect values and its’ role in delivering services to people impacted by violence and abuse.Positive Notice Blue Card and National Police Check or ability and willingness to obtain.Right to work in Australia.Shift availability across the afternoon, evening and overnight space and the ability to work from the Central Brisbane Office.  APPLY NOW!  We highly encourage that you submit your application before 29/03/2024. For more information about the position, please email recruitment@dvconnect.org or phone Nat (Talent Acquisition Specialist) on 0402 573 252.DVConnect is committed to nurturing a diverse and inclusive culture of opportunity.
