Crisis Intervention Counsellor – Nightworker

At DVConnect our aim is for all relationships to be free from domestic, family, and sexual violence. We are the only service providing a state-wide response across Queensland through our Womensline, Mensline and Sexual Assault Helplines to meet the safety needs of those living with domestic and family violence. We also provide specialist therapeutic counselling support across Australia, within the national 1800RESPECT program.We are currently seeking flexible, friendly and motivated staff to join our amazing team in the evening and overnight space.Permanent Part-time contractsWork from home opportunities availableYour New RoleAs a Crisis Intervention Counsellor, you will provide domestic and family violence support services to Queensland women through information and referral, crisis counselling, safety planning, advocacy and through arranging safe accommodation and travel.You will be responsible for making professionals assessments of caller needs and taking all reasonable actions to meet these needs within the operating framework and principles of DVConnect.Our Crisis Intervention Counsellors also respond to incoming calls on the Queensland Sexual Assault line and at times on DVConnect’s Mensline.We are currently looking for applicants who can work 4-7 overnight shifts per fortnight on a permanent ongoing basis (9:30pm to 6:30am). There is the opportunity to work from home for applicants who are interested and able to meet our criteria.
