This team provides specialist trauma counselling to those people impacted by DFV and Sexual Assault across the country, as part of the national 1800RESPECT program. We work in partnership with Medibank Health Solutions (MHS) who operate the service and also other partner DV services in other states, to collectively deliver the specialist counselling.Your role will be to lead, coach and mentor a team of Specialist Counsellors in the delivery of high quality client services, whilst providing exceptional support to the staff. This role works very closely with one other Team Leader (who is very experienced in the role) and our Service Delivery Manager, to ensure a seamless level of support, development and guidance for our team. In addition, the role is part of a wider leadership team, that is delivering a variety of programs and the opportunity will also be available to contribute more broadly across the organisation.You will:Be the first point of contact for Specialist Counsellors on all operational shift mattersProvide supervision/debriefing to on-shift Specialist CounsellorsConduct monthly call coaching/mentoring for all staffComplete monthly reviews of call data to inform practice improvementsComplete quality audits fortnightly for each Specialist CounsellorsAt times, the role will be required to assist in providing highly specialised phone counselling services to callers who have been impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence.
